You know, I write info on great artists somewhat eulogizing their talents and then asking how we “measured up.”
But guys, I want to praise one of my students / clients Alyona Yarushina.
Aly is from Russia.
First off, I want to be clear on something.
Do I take credit for her skills?
NO WAY.
She came to me with very strong skills.
Did I hone in her skills to take her to the next level?
Absolutely.
But more than that, Aly is a Force To Be Reckoned With.
She is an A-Mazing, hard-working woman who has fought her way to her success.
She didn’t quit.
She didn’t give up.
Much like my student Gabriela Gunčíková, she wasn’t “privileged” to get the fast-track ticket / access to deserved appreciation that we get in the West.
But her perseverance is paying off.
We are working on her visa now, and God willing, she will be as competitive as her peers.
Yes, I should be talking about Jessie J right now, bla bla bla.
But no.
I want to talk about Aly!
She is not only an amazing musical artist.
She is also a phenomenal make-up artist! (no kidding. She can paint her face to look like Michael Jackson if she wanted to).
