Ann Wilson has been called one of the top heavy metal lead vocalists of all time. That’s a long way from her upbringing as a shy teen who struggled with a stutter and low self-esteem.
Ann took up singing as a way to overcome her insecurities and found herself at home on stage.
She joined a band in the 70s called White Heart with her sister Nancy and later adapted the name to just Heart. The band was hugely successful in Canada before it also caught on in the US.
The band went on to sell over 35 million records worldwide including over 22.5 million in the U.S. They have the unique honor of having top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2010s.
Today I’ll be reacting to their hit “Crazy On You” which was a performance when Ann was younger.
