It takes some guts to take on a song that Lady Gaga captured the world with but Floor Jansen was definitely up for the challenge.
Floor took on the Gaga song “Shallow” from A Star Is Born and performs it live on Beste Zengers a Dutch reality television show where major artists take on covers of other performers.
Floor is currently the lead vocalist of Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish and has multiple other side projects including the hard rock group Northward and the progressive metal group Star One.
Known for her dynamic vocal range and her ability to take on anything from classical to belting, Floor can also growl with the best of them.
Today’s performance really moved me and I thought her version was pretty phenomenal.
I’m curious to see what you all thought and how you felt her version measured up to Lady Gaga’s.
