“Born This Way” is one of Lady Gaga’s most well-known songs and today Kati will be taking on the popular tune.
Gaga co-wrote the song for her second studio album of the same name and it was released as the lead single. She has called the track her “freedom song” and the lyrics speak of self-empowerment.
The song went on to reach number one in over 25 countries and was her third single to top the US Billboard Hot 100. It also had the distinction of being Billboard’s 1,000th song to reach number one.
Having sold 8.2 million copies worldwide, it became one of the best-selling singles of all time and went on to break the record for the fastest-selling song in iTunes history, selling a million copies worldwide in five days.
Gaga performed the song at the 53rd Grammy Awards coming out of an incubating vessel for her intro. Though Kati’s performance of the tune might lack the same dramatic beginning, we hope you enjoy her version of the song.
