Named one of Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, Coldplay’s hit “Clocks” was a huge commercial success and today Tori will have a go at the tune.
The song was a collaboration of the entire band as each Coldplay member took part in either the writing or composing of the hit.
The tune started as a piano riff that popped into Chris Martin’s head and he has said it was inspired by fellow English rock band Muse.
A late addition to their album A Rush Of Blood To The Head, the song ended up delaying the release of the record by 2 months.
It ended up being worth the wait however as the song went on to reach number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy for Record of the Year. It is still considered to be one of the band’s signature songs.
