Glenn Hughes has been called “The Voice Of Rock” and he’s definitely up there when it comes to my favorite male rock vocalists.
In addition to rock, Glenn has a sassy, soulful blues side and he makes really great use of pocket phrasing.
Also known for his great range, Glenn is able to really spread his sound in almost a raised laryngeal position.
As an accomplished bass player too, his instrumentalist background has allowed him to translate that same level of commitment to his singing.
For today’s video I’ll be looking at a small montage of his performances as we discuss all the things that made him great including his epic screams.
