“Lean On Me” is one of only nine songs to reach number one on Billboard with versions by two different artists.

Do you know any of the other songs that share that honor? Let me know in the comments!

Bill Withers grew up in a mining town in West Virginia and the inspiration for the tune came from the longing for his hometown community after moving to Los Angeles.

The song was released off of his second album and has gone on to be included as one of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time” by Rolling Stone.

I hope you enjoy my version of this unforgettable tune!
