In my humble opinion one of the greatest vocalists to come out of the Seattle movement in the early 90’s was Chris Cornell.

Yes, there are other vocalists that received greater visibility, such as Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder. Obviously, Layne Staley was amazing too, but as a 70’s rock and 80’s metal guy myself, I personally gravitated more towards Chris’s vocal style, his songwriting and his overall stage persona.

Many know of Chris’s work such as “Cochise,” the James Bond soundtrack “You know my Name”, “Like a Stone,” and others. But not a lot of people are familiar with “Spoonman.”

In fact, the end of Spoonman is pretty difficult to sing, to be candid.

So in usual KTVA fashion, I wanted to take it on and share it with you guys and see what you think 🙂
