OK, promise not to laugh at me sharing my restless heart with you 🙂

Circa 1987-1988, an old friend of mine from the band “Idle Cure” (the keyboardist Pete Lomakin) had invited me to play on a song that he dedicated to his wife on their wedding day.

That song was Restless Heart’s “I’ll Still Be Loving You”.

I had never heard this song before, but I was acutely aware that it sounded much like “You Get The Best Of My Love” by the Eagles, or another great Eagles love song ballad.

And I remember literally thinking to myself that someday I would like to sing that song for my wife. At that time, my wife and I had married in 1983 and had been married for about five years.

While I had written several songs for my wife over the years (You Never Give Up, The Most Beautiful Lady, I Hear Crying), I had never recorded this song like I intended in my heart.

I thought as a special surprise, on our 39 year wedding anniversary, November 7, 2022, I would finally be able to present this song to her.

And I realize now that the lyrics of this song could not be more fitting, meaningful, heartfelt, and sincere than when I first heard it and hoped to share it with her back in 1988.

We have been through a lot together these 39 years and she has stood by me through thick and thin, and simply put, she is just an INCREDIBLE woman.

Sweetheart I love you. Happy 39th Anniversary!
