Anthony Vincent — Ten Second Songs

A lot of KTVA’s students have gone on to score big successes, which is exactly the goal of KTVA, to provide you with the tools to be able to kick it as high as you want to. But Anthony Vincent’s story is pretty darn crazy, he went from zero to overnight viral sensation with this Ten Seconds Song rendition of Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse’ – which is now at over 12,000,000 views on YouTube.

In the six months since then, Anthony Vincent’s YouTube channel has reached almost 1,000,000 subscribers and over 65,000,000 views.

His latest video, a Ten Seconds Songs rendition of Linkin Park’s ‘In The End’ has reached almost 8,000,000 views

in just two weeks!

The KTVA Effect

Once Anthony Vincent’s videos started going viral, we were of course overjoyed for him, what a trip! So we thought we’d share a little bit of his story with you, here’s Anthony:

How old were you when you first started singing? I used to sing in school plays throughout elementary school but I didn’t REALLY start singing for myself until I was 17.

What was your inspiration to start singing? I was in a hardcore metal band and I wanted to provide melodic singing to compliment the lead vocalist’s screaming. After the band broke up I then went on to experiment with my voice and started a LONG period of development and soul searching.

What was the first song you could sing well? Can’t remember.

When your Katy Perry video went viral, did it freak you out? Yes it did. When I discovered it was number 2 on all of Reddit, I was overwhelmed and needed to go run at the park.

What are your goals as a singer? I’m looking to make my impact in music. I’m hoping I can help pave the way and a market for good music being profitable again. (a lofty goal, yes, but hey, I never thought reaching close to a million subscribers in 6 months was possible, so why not shoot for other galaxies?)

What advice do you have for someone who wants to learn how to sing? My advice is to get Ken’s program.

How did you find KTVA? I searched “What is M Shadow’s (Avenged sevenfold singer) vocal technique?” in Google. Ken popped up, I watched all his videos and then contacted him personally. In my message to Ken I asked his advice on my performance of “Outshined” by Soundgarden. He wrote me a list of things that I would benefit from with his course. Of course, it looked Chinese to me, but that’s why I purchased the course. Because I knew Ken knew what he was talking about, he was very receptive, very honest and I appreciated that. It was surely the best investment I ever made.

What do you like about KTVA? I like that I finally know how to use my voice. I finally understand terms I have only heard in passing through the years. It’s cool to know the difference between head voice, falsetto, chest voice and mix voice. It’s cool to know what range I am. Yeah, I have a ways to go and much to learn but I’m grateful for all I’ve picked up on in a little over a years’ time.

Anything else you’d like to share? Yes, This course will give you everything you need to know in building and growing your voice. It’s a gold mine. You have very thorough instructional videos, in volumes, along with audio workouts that, if you PAY CLOSE ATTENTION, will guide you to excellence. But that’s the key right there, paying attention and putting in the work. If you do it right, and stay active in the forums, stay humble, stay teachable and pay close attention, you’re going to benefit a great deal from this course.
