Hey Ken Tamplin, do you know a good way to tell if you are singing on key? (Considering that you perceive your voice as lower than it actually is) I mean do you know any fairly simple ways by yourself without any hardcore software?

Ken Tamplin:
One of the best ways is just simply to record yourself singing something relatively easy. Listen back. If you are flat, even if “in your head” you think you are on key, raise the pitch up a little and record it again. Get familiar with how this feels.

Often people sing flat in a studio for example because headphones ad compression to your head and one hears the pitch lower than it really is.

Another are interval exercises. They help you hear intervals.
