The vocals for “Renegade” were sung by Styx guitarist Tommy Shaw who shared lead vocalist duties with keyboardist Dennis DeYoung. Styx was one of those amazing bands where everybody sang and played great.

Styx was one of a number of bands at that time who utilized really unique harmonies and we’ll see that as we break down these isolated vocals.
