“Still Of The Night” proved to be one of Whitesnake’s most popular songs and to this day both the band and John Sykes play it as part of their live encore.

The inspiration for the song apparently came from an old demo Coverdale found at his mom’s house that he had done with Richie Blackmore which would become the premise for the tune.

David said he took the song as far as he could and then let guitarist John Sykes do the rest by adding his guitar hero stuff to the track.
