While many people think “Crazy Train” is just another Ozzy song about insanity, it’s actually a song about the Cold War.

Apparently guitarist Randy Rhoads and bass player Bob Daisley had already come up with the music before they even had a title and Bob said to Randy that the sound of the effect coming through the amp sounded like a crazy train.
The song was the first single Ozzy released after leaving Black Sabbath and proved he could still be successful outside of the band.
