DO YOU HAVE TO BE BORN WITH NATURAL TALENT TO BE A SINGER?

We’ve all heard it one time or another… or maybe over and over, as if it’s a “known fact”. The notion that you are either “born a singer” or you have no chance whatsoever to become one. It’s just not true. It is true that some ARE gifted, and seem to be infallible singers. But it’s not true that the rest of us are doomed to never sing well.

There are a number of techniques that you can learn that will greatly improve your singing voice. You just don’t know them all yet. And you haven’t practiced them yet.

There are so many well-meaning “experts” that are ready to tell you that you will fail if you try to improve, which makes it very hard to take that step to decide to learn vocal techniques. Those people will tell you that they are “saving you” from certain failure, and therefore they are “doing you a favor” to personally let you know that you just “don’t have it” and you “never will.”

With friends and family like that, who needs enemies?

Don’t listen to the discouragement fraternity. They won’t change, that is, until you show them one day that you actually CAN sing… and then they won’t know what to say.

Do it for yourself! Don’t let someone else deter you from your dreams and goals. Be your own best friend and make the decision to see what you are capable of accomplishing. Learn to Sing! You may find out that you actually were BORN TO SING! You just didn’t know it.
