Put A Little Love In Your Heart – Jackie DeShannon – Cover – Ken Tamplin and Indy (Tamplin) Salter

My beautiful sweet daughter Indy came to me and asked if we could do a duet together.

She suggested a song I had done many years ago called “Put A Little Love In Your Heart ” (Jackie DeShannon’s song, but the Annie Lennox & Al Green version).

When my daughter was growing up, she was a killer guitar player and a pretty strong vocalist that decided that she liked surfing better. So she became a surfing champion at her school and then went on into professional Salsa instruction.

She is 29 years old now and has decided that she wanted to reach back, do a song with me, and re-hone her singing skills.

This is the first time we have done anything together musically since she was about 15 years old (about 14 years!).

So we thought it would be fun to do “Put A Little Love In Your Heart” and share that with all of you on this Valentine’s Day 🙂

There is nothing more rewarding for me as a father than to get to see my daughter flourish and for us to share something amazing in common, which is music.

So on behalf of Indy and I, we hope you enjoy our first song together in many years, and hopefully, many more to come 🙂
