Special Message From Ken Regarding COVID-19

My heart aches for all those who have lost jobs, or loved ones… due to this global COVID-19 crisis. And it’s got me thinking…

At this point, it just doesn’t feel right to carry on with “business as usual” anymore. Seeing as whole countries are on lockdown. Markets are crashing. And fear is everywhere.

I am in a unique position. Being a business owner… with a product (singing course) that can legitimately encourage people to stay at home, and participate in this national effort to “flatten the curve” — by giving them something fun, challenging, and hopeful to work on (learning how to sing).

So a few weeks ago, I sent out an email to my team.

And we discussed different possibilities, for how KTVA as a company could play its part in the middle of this crisis.

And we all agreed… that we don’t want to be just another company that sends out an email saying something to the effect of… “we value your safety (and money) above everything else, and so we have decided to be extra cautious, and to use extra hand sanitizer in our day to day operations. (So please continue to do business with us!)”

It’s great that company owners and marketing directors want to “keep their customers safe” and “address the situation” etc… but my question is, what are you actually going to DO to concretely help your customers in this crisis?

Here is how I have decided to answer that question.

After talking with my team, we decided to create a new digital coupon:

… which when used will unlock the biggest discount on my singing course I have ever offered. And probably ever will offer. (It is twice as big as my normal discounts)

Plus, if you use this coupon I will give you 2 years of free access to the KTVA streaming portal… where you can access all the videos & content in the course, without having to download anything.

My hope is that this makes my course accessible to everyone stuck at home. Who has been thinking about getting my course, but hasn’t gotten it for financial reasons. Giving them something to do at home that takes their mind off of the madness.

Ultimately, I know this is just a drop in the bucket… but even if it encourages just a few more people to stay at home, help slow the spread of this virus, and do something life-giving with their time… I’ll be a happy coach.

And finally…

I’ve gotten pushback in the past for saying “religious” stuff like this… but heck, it’s just a part of me. I can’t help but say that…
