Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” was actually the band’s only number one hit in the US despite the massive popularity of the rest of their music, and the remarkable endurance it has shown.

Written by Stevie Nicks, the song apparently wasn’t warmly embraced by Christine McVie who thought it was boring. However Lindsey Buckingham took the same 3 chords and fashioned three new sections making each one sound different.

The song experienced a resurgence in 2020 after being featured on a TikTok video by a man skateboarding down a highway, lip syncing to the song and drinking Ocean Spray which was later recreated by Mick Fleetwood.
