If you’re not familiar with the band Tesla and lead singer Jeff Keith’s unique vocals, today’s reaction will be a great introduction.
The band originally got their start out of Sacramento in 1981 under the name City Kidd. The group adapted their sound over the following few years from glam to a more hard rock sound.
They changed their name to Telsa after the inventor who also inspired some of their song titles and song content. Under their new name, they released their debut album Mechanical Resonance in 1986.
Their next album helped expand their following and brought the band commercial success producing 5 hit singles.
The band took a break in 1996 and reformed 4 years later to tour and release new music. They have gone on to sell over 14 million records in the US.
