Pretty much daily I get asked to teach how to “Scream” or “Growl” etc.
and I like to refer to this kind of activity as an extreme sport!
Let’s take a look at a few extreme sports:
Would anyone, in their right mind, take on any of these sports without highly trained, seasoned (many many years of correct practice) experience under their belt? Of course not! They would crash and burn!
Then why are so many willing to do this with their voices?
This is just plain crazy.
In my course, I walk you through, step by step, how to grow distortion naturally, and how, over time, you can lean into that sound to get many different layers and flavors of desired distortion.
I also emphasize that it is extremely important to come back and clean up the voice after distortion, or you will ruin it, or at the very least sentence yourself to having to sing in a distorted tone just to get some notes out.
