I get asked this all the time.
How long should I take to warm up my voice?
This is the equivalent of saying “How long should I exercise?”
There are MANY factors here:
1) What is your starting point?
2) Do you know how to warm up correctly?
3) How consistent are you with your warm ups?
4) How hard do you work out?
5) Are you doing things well-within your reach or are you pushing yourself beyond that?
6) Are you warming up to sing afterwards or are you just practicing?
7) Are you starting out gentle and working your way up to more difficult things?
As you can see, there are many factors that play into this.
