We are living in some very strange times, indeed.
Factions and divisiveness like I’ve never seen before in my entire life.
When I saw that Gladys Knight was going to take on the national anthem at the Super Bowl I had to simply smile.
The reason I smiled is for the reason she chose to do the anthem.
She used only one word.
Respect!
Then, this 74-year-old classy musical veteran, who has 7 Grammys, countless top ten singles that range from “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” “The way we were,” “Midnight train to Georgia” and many others showed us all what it means to stand up for your beliefs.
This rock hall of fame inductee has seen a lot in our nation.
I think she accomplished what she came for. RESPECT.
She killed it, and in my humble opinion, was better than the half time show!
Well, my word to you, Gladys, is Respect!
