As I mentioned in a previous YouTube post, I was in a well-known LA Sunset Strip band in the early 80’s.
At that time, like all other LA bands, we traveled the Globe trying to secure that elusive record deal.
One of our stops was London, England, where we were simultaneously looking for International management.
We happened to secure a meeting with Don Arden, who managed the careers of the rock acts such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Air Supply, Small Faces, The Move, Black Sabbath, and Electric Light Orchestra.
Don was also Sharon Osborne’s father. (Ozzy’s wife).
During this meeting with Don, Sharon had called to discuss removing Ozzie from Don’s clutches. On a very old fashion speakerphone, we heard the blood curling scream out Conversation between Sharon and Don her father. Strangely, Don was not bothered by the conversation at all. In fact, it seemed as though it was a typical form of communication between them.
Now let’s fast-forward a few years.
You may have remembered me talking about my brush with the monsters of rock Festival, of which Ozzy was one of the main artists. It was like the twilight zone watching Ozzy pacing back and forth backstage (talking to himself loudly) just before he went on to perform. No wonder they call him The Madman, ha ha!
But in fairness, I could not claim to take on some of rock’s greatest icons without doing a vocal demonstration of the Ozman.
With that said, I give you – Crazy Train!
