Today Tori takes on Pat Benatar’s 1980 classic tune “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”.
The song was Benatar’s FIRST Top 10 hit and has gone on to sell over a million copies in the US.
Songwriter Eddie Schwartz, said that he came up with the title of the song after attending a “pillow punching” therapy session in Toronto and that the lyrics are meant to be taken metaphorically. Phew that’s a relief!
The song is one of Benatar’s most recognizable songs and can often be heard played at sporting events.
