Jim Morrison is no doubt one of the most iconic and influential frontmen in rock history.
He was known for being unpredictable and erratic which always left us wondering what he would do next.
In addition to singing and songwriting Morrison’s background also included getting a degree in theatre at UCLA. He also had an exception IQ of 149.
Morrison was also a poet and got his nickname the Lizard King from a poem he wrote called “The Celebration of the Lizard.”
He co-founded the Doors during the summer of 1965 and the band spent two years in obscurity until getting their break with their number-one single “Light My Fire”.
He went on to record six studio albums with the band before leaving us at the age of 27.
Morrison left a legacy as a pop culture icon was ranked number 47 on Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Singers of All Time”
