British singer/songwriter Bishop Briggs had her first performance as a child at a karaoke bar in Tokyo.
Originally from a town in Scotland called Bishopbriggs that inspired her stage name, she moved to Tokyo at age 4 before later moving to Hong Kong at 10.
Through the course of her travel, music was always the focus. She started writing songs at age 7 and would later perform in school talent shows. After graduating from school in Hong Kong, she moved to Los Angeles to study at Musicians Institute and pursue music full-time.
Bishop’s first single was cover of “Wild Horses” which was featured in an Acura commercial that helped her gain exposure. The song went on to reach the top 30 of the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
Both of her follow-up singles were also commercial successes and in 2018 she released her first full-length album. Her music has been featured on American Idol, Fifty Shades Freed, and the MTV show Scream.
