Scorpions are just a phenomenal band and they feature some first class musicians. The band owned Europe for a really long time and have written some of the biggest rock ballads of all time.
I wanted to react to a live performance of their song “Rock You Like A Hurricane”. The tune is considered to be the signature song for the group and was released off their 9th studio album.
Written by Klaus Meine, Herman Rarebell, and Rudolf Schenker, the song was produced by Dieter Dierks who I was also signed with.
The song went on to reach number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the music video to the tune received heavy rotation on MTV.
VH1 named it number 31 on their “40 Greatest Metal Songs” and the 18th greatest hard rock song of all time.
In 2000, the band recorded a new version of the song calling it “Hurricane 2000” and it was backed by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
