Xiomara will be taking on a tune considered to be Christina Aguilera’s most empowering song for women as she performs “Fighter” for today’s video.
The song “Fighter” was released off Aguilera’s fourth album and was inspired by the song “November Rain” by “Guns N Roses.
Christina wrote the song based off her rough childhood and coming from an abusive home. The message of the song speaks of overcoming adversity and becoming stronger because of it.
Aguilera used music as a means of release and first started songwriting at the age of 15. She has said writing helped her find her voice.
The song went on to reach number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was certified Gold, while also enjoying international success and reaching the top 10 in multiple other countries.
