As many of you know Steelheart has always been one of my favorite bands led by Miljenko Matijevic’s phenomenal vocals.
Though my voice is vastly different from Miljenko, as a baritone I’m still able to get up into his high tenor range and today I’m going to show you how I do it.
As he mainly sings in the alto contralto and even soprano range, I’m able to use the same technique I teach you, which has given me the mechanics to get up into his range and sing in that registration.
I’ll be sharing a version I did of “She’s Gone” where I demonstrate how you can actually set your voice up to be able to sing in a whole other registration.
As I teach you how I transition seamlessly from chest to head voice, I’ll also look at another example of KTVA student Kati Cher as she is able to belt from her chest register to take on “I’ll Never Let You Go”.
