When it comes to headphones, there is no shortage in headphone choices.

However, not all headphones are created equal.

I’ve received hundreds of requests over the years from people wanting to know what headphones I use and why?

This is the first time I’ve ever shared my thoughts and experience on the subject.

As I mentioned in my video, we first must ask ourselves, what do we want out of a pair of headphones?

The very first thing we should be looking for is sonic clarity and quality.

Do the headphones deliver a crystal clear dynamic frequency response through the whole range of music we want to listen to?

Next we should ask ourselves if they deliver this frequency range evenly at different volumes?

Do we need headphones that do not bleed into other microphones and also cancel out noise from our listening environment?

Are the headphones comfortable to wear for long periods of time?

Something I wish I had mentioned in the video is, are the headphones and the cables to the headphones durable? I cannot tell you how many pairs of expensive headphones I have purchased that have had the headlining eaten away very quickly and with a couple easy stomps on the cables, having the headphones short out very quickly because of lack of durability.

There are many additional points I could make however something else to consider is: what do the headphones look like?

This may sound vain or silly but if you’re recording video (like I do daily), you don’t want it to look like you’re wearing a pair of Mickey Mouse Ears on your head! (ha ha)

The NDH 20’s look like a cross between a Ferrari and a Mercedes-Maybach GLS!

So when you’re spending hard earned money on a pair of headphones, you want them to: Sound Great, Feel Great, Look Great and Last!

That would be the Neumann NDH 20 headphones.

I hope you found this product review helpful in your quest for headphones 🙂
