Stevie Nicks holds the unique distinction of being the only female artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once as a member of Fleetwood Mac and once as a solo artist.
Today I’ll be exploring what it takes to sing like Stevie with the help of our own KTVA student Sara Loera.
With her bohemian vibe, Stevie’s music was characterized by her caprino vibrato which defined her unique style and sound.
Known for her incredible storytelling, Stevie had the ability to suck you into her story with her distinct use of phrasing and we’ll explore how she uses it very differently from other singers.
In addition to looking at Sara’s performances, we’ll also take a look at a duet she and I did together of the unique collaboration of Stevie Nicks and Don Henley.
I hope you all enjoy the video and find it to be helpful. Please be sure to leave your feedback in the comments!
