Here she goes again, Adele smashing all records!

It was 2008 when Adele’s seminal debut record, 19, rose to the top of the chart. 13 years later, the world still can’t get enough of the powerhouse singer-songwriter.

On October 14, she unveiled her first new single in over five years, “Easy On Me”—within 24 hours, it had racked up over 24 million streams on Spotify alone, being the number one streaming artist in the history of Spotify.

So Tori and I thought we would take up the challenge and create our own version for KTVA.

I especially love the fact that there are only three instruments in the entire song. One piano. One bass. And one kick drum.

When you survey Spotify’s top 20 pop songs you find basically zero organic instruments. Everything is looped, sequenced, and sampled, literally no real instruments.
So I love the fact that this song is so organic and well written. In my own personal opinion it would be good if she didn’t use so much autotune. We chose not to use any, as usual, here at KTVA.
