I get asked all the time: “Ken, why do you do so many songs from the 80s?”
And my answer is: “Because the music was really good then and it’s something I can really sink my teeth into”.
The band Mr. Mister and the vocalist Richard Page is no exception.
I remember when I first heard their song “Broken Wings” (which I have covered on my channel: https://youtu.be/lScIgkplHFY). It was such a breath of fresh air from a lot of the crotch rock that was going around in the rock, metal, and pop scene of the 80s.
Someone dared to be different and write something inspirational that might go beyond just sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll.
I also marveled at the incredible production, catchy melodies, and fantastic vocals of the album.
Just an incredible inspiration for me all around.
So I decided to take on a second Mr. Mister song for my channel “Kyrie Eleison” (Latin for “Lord Have Mercy”). And I now present to you guys my version 🙂
