Norah Jones – What Am I To You? Cover – Giusy Ferrigno

I’ve been working with Giusy for well over three years now and we have had the opportunity to diversify our repertoire of singing.

Giusy was Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy’s “Sing It To Win It” winner back in 2018.

She was scheduled to come and record with me at my studio in Hawaii when lava broke out and covered my home and studio.

At that point, being homeless and studio-less, I decided to move to Mexico to figure out where I wanted to land after basically losing everything.

But I also still wanted to make good on our commitment to Giusy for winning my contest.

So I invited Giusy to Mexico and we recorded our very first tracks in a very meager recording studio in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

All things considered, Giusy did an incredible job and we posted those songs back in late 2018.

Giusy continued to work hard on her voice and we decided it would be a good idea to bring her back out in 2019.

And again, calamity struck when the world was hit with COVID-19, which inhibited her ability to come out to where I landed in Flagstaff Arizona.

Her patience and perseverance paid off and we were finally able to bring her out over the last few months to record an incredible amount of material.

She literally recorded 12 songs in three days (and for those of you that understand the recording process, the quality level necessary to get this much music out usually takes a high-level professional substantially longer).

We picked a wide variety of music, not the least of which is Norah Jones’ “What Am I To You”.

Our repertoire of music included everything from Guns N’ Roses, TNT, Norah Jones, Led Zeppelin, Dua Lipa, you name it!

So now I present to you “What am I to you?” by Norah Jones, sung by Giusy Ferrigno.
