    • I’m a fan of Tori Kelly’s soulful style and really appreciate how hard she has worked to develop her craft.

    Tori’s been at it a long time having started singing at the age of 3. She later learned to play the drums at 12 and took up piano and guitar at 15.

    When she was 11 years old she competed on America’s Most Talented Kids and won. 3 years later, Tori opened a YouTube account and started sharing videos of herself covering popular songs eventually growing her following to over a million subscribers.

    At 18 she competed on American Idol making it to the semi-finals before being sent off as Simon Cowell called her voice “annoying”. Fortunately Tori didn’t let that stop her and she eventually got a record deal with Capitol Records.

    Her debut album made it to number two on the Billboard 200 chart and she was nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist. Her second album made it to number 35 on the Billboard 200 and she went on to win two Grammys for it.

    For today’s performance she’ll be singing “Right There” and Ariana Grande joins her on stage. I hope you all enjoy the video and please let me know what you thought!
