For today’s vocal demonstration Tori and I are revisiting the hugely popular tune “Shallow” from the movie A Star Is Born.
Lady Gaga co-wrote and produced the tune which featured both her and Bradley Cooper trading verses in the power ballad.
The tune was a hit with both fans and music critics due to its dramatic composition and songwriting.
It went on top the charts in more than 20 countries and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, as well as a Golden Globe in the same category. The song is to date the most awarded song in history with over 40 wins.
In February 2020, almost a year and a half after its original release, the song climbed back into the US Top 40 on iTunes after a version of a London commuter singing the tune in a subway went viral.
