How To Sing Like Lou Gramm – Foreigner

Lou Gramm has been probably the biggest vocal influence to me of any singer and today I’m going to show you what it takes to sing like Lou.

Lou is the kind of singer who could just be right out front and doesn’t need a lot of hoopla because his voice just carries the band.

Able to sing in about 3 and half octaves, Lou’s golden voice and his phenomenal pitch, paired with his great melodic choices really distinguish his music.

Though his high range is tough to sing, I’m going to break down how he’s able to compress air in the abdomen and hit those snappy phrases like he does.

I’ll be showing you a few examples of me taking on some of Lou’s classics as I demonstrate how to properly use mask and teach you how to get that big, round tone.
