Great songwriters also have great orchestral minds and Roy Orbison was the perfect example of someone who utilized really cool orchestral changes in his songwriting.
What other songwriters can you think of that were ingenuitive in their use of instrumental changes in their music?
Of course Roy was great for more than just his songwriting. His smooth, silky vocals were timeless and he was a master at seamlessly getting in and out of mixed voice.
