As many of you know, I have recorded about 50 records that have been commercially released worldwide.
In the era I came from, you would record an album and then tour your butt off to try to help make that album successful.
This song, and the album that this song was on, was no exception.
In today’s climate, it seems like most people just need to be YouTube stars (ha ha) and don’t really have to tour at all, or perform much of anything “live” anymore per se. While this may not be true of everyone, it certainly is true for a lot of the Internet packaging going on these days.
But there is certainly something to be said about the ability to reach a much larger audience with platforms such as YouTube and other forms of social media.
So I am enjoying reaching back to some of the old records/songs I have recorded and toured, and giving them a fresh coat of lipstick for a new Internet audience that may have not heard me performing this, live or from my record.
