I must say that I personally hold the view that the most powerful rock singer in modern times beyond the 80s metal era, starting with the 90s grunge era, would have to be Chris Cornell.

Yes, of course, there were Layne Staley and Scott Weiland (and so on), but I personally hold the view that Chris was on top of the mountain.

And for that reason, here at Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy, we do not shy away from the difficult. In fact, we embrace it to see how well we can stack up against it with the technique that I teach in my academy.

And to be candid, we are not seeing any other singing schools with this approach, demonstrating song after song after song with my voice, and my students’ voices, proving out our method.

So we welcome challenging pieces and are always up for it, and we display it with our voices without reservation. It’s really the only way we can prove what is real and what isn’t.

And speaking of Chris, wow! I know we have covered several of his songs between myself, Gabriela, Kati, Kayla, etc.., and I look forward to embracing as many Chris Cornell songs as we can, as he has quite an extensive and difficult catalog of music to sing.
