PAINKILLER – ROB HALFORD | JUDAS PRIEST COVER – Can you hit these notes?

You’ve just got to hand it to Rob Halford. Who else would ride a Harley Davidson on to a live concert stage with a microphone in the tailpipe, and blast the engine sound through a 100,000-Watt Sound System at 150 decibels, louder than a B2 Bomber Flyover? And that would just be the start of the concert!

And then, if that wasn’t enough, his voice and the band were pure metal madness! Walls of Marshall Amps, all set to eleven. Drums that sounded like cannons!

Judas Priest commanded your attention, there was no question about that.

There is only one Rob Halford, and I’m not him, but I am someone who loves to sing songs that are REALLY CHALLENGING. If you don’t think that PAINKILLER is tough to sing, just try it, and post it on YouTube.

I don’t sing it exactly like Rob, but I think you might like some of the things about how I approach the song. It’s got some elements of Rob, plus maybe a little bit of Dio, Coverdale, and Tamplin.

Anyway, do me a favor and crank the volume up to eleven, so you’ll get the full effect. Fasten your seat belt, and enjoy the ride!

And don’t forget: If you’re looking to learn how to develop your singing voice in such a way that you, too, can take on just about any song you can imagine… I have a singing course where you use the same exercises that I do every day, and the information that I use with my own singing voice. All in my flagship KTVA Singing course. Or you can dip your toes in the water with my 30-Minute Singing Course to see what even beginners can learn to do to grow your voice.
