Ian Gillan led the way on this style of singing back in 1984, and few have come along to try to surpass him.

These guys are some of my heroes from yesteryear, on guitar and vocals. Ritchie Blackmore had amazing lineups of talented musicians and vocalists throughout his Deep Purple years.
We all got to enjoy videos of his recent reunion with the band, after 30 years!
