When “Welcome To The Jungle” was first released by Guns N’ Roses in 1987, it charted in the UK but flopped in the US. It wasn’t until after the success of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” that the song was re-released a year later and then became a hit.

What other songs can you think of that didn’t become hits until their second go around? Share with me in the comments!

Based off their experience of living in Los Angeles, the lyrics tell of the dark side of life in the city and pursuing fame.

Slash has stated that all of the band were responsible for creating the arrangement to the song and that it came together in just one day.

We hope you enjoy Kayla’s version of this rock classic!
