Join Now!Most people think of their voice with scarcity.
As though it is some kind of fuse they light and only get a few minutes before it fizzles and burns out.
It turns out to be quite the opposite.
The voice is a muscle (actually a group of muscles) and can grow and maintain robustness even into our 70’s (even 80’s if trained correctly).
So how long then should we sing?
Or
How long should we practice singing?
The obvious common sense is, we build up stamina for any sport or physical thing we do.
We don’t go straight to 3 hours of singing. (and singing is most definitely physically demanding).
We start out with 15 minutes.
Then build to 20.
Then build to 30.
Then build to 45.
Then to 60.
This can come fairly quickly ( a month or so)
But again, like building any muscle structure, we don’t want to push too hard, too quickly.
Consistent, even practice is key.
In my course, I walk you through, step by step, how to build correct muscle structure and stamina.
Throughout most of my life, (once I have built up this structure) I will practice for abut 2-3 hours (not including singing songs).
But this level of stamina must be carefully trained, over time.
So How Long Should I Practice Singing?
I will repeat this:
Start out with 15 minutes.
Then build to 20.
Then build to 30.
Then build to 45.
Then to 60.
Then to 90 if you can.
Do this 5-6 days per week.
If you are doing this correctly, your voice will grow like mad and you won’t live in vocal scarcity.
I hope you found this information helpful!
