Who Has The Best Vibrato? Ken Tamplin And Gabbi Gun

I’m simply going to share with you my personal favorite vibratos. They vary from artist to artist.

I have always felt male rock vocal icons such as Mickey Thomas from Starship and Steve Perry have a phenomenal vibrato.

Ronnie James Dio also has an incredible vibrato for a male rock vocalist. It is pretty wide and dramatic compared to another favorite of mine which is Paul Rodgers who has a faster more even vibrato, as does Paul Carrack.

Female rock vocalists would include Gabriela Guncikova, Pat Benatar, Susan Tedeschi, and Bonnie Raitt.

In the pop/soul world, Whitney Houston was almost impossible to beat with her perfect vibrato (Mariah is good too :-). Aretha had an incredibly unique and amazing vibrato as well.

Male pop R&B artists would include Donny Hathaway.

In the male tenor opera world, I prefer Jussi Björling’s vibrato over Luciano Pavarotti.

And in the female soprano opera world, I prefer Maria Callas.
