Vocal Coach Reacts To Ariana Grande | I have Nothing | Whitney Houston cover

Taking on a Whitney Houston classic is a pretty tall order but Ariana Grande does a pretty spot-on job with the tune.

She has come a long way since getting her start on Nickelodeon. Growing up Ariana performed in children’s theater and musicals but didn’t start getting serious about her music until the age of 13.

After the first season of the Nickelodeon show completed, she started working with a vocal coach and began working on her debut album.

Grande started making covers of various artists that she would upload to YouTube which led to her being discovered and signed by the label Republic.

Her debut studio album topped the Billboard Top 200 and included her first US top 10 single.

Ariana has gone on to have all five of her studio albums certified platinum and is one of the top leading artists with streaming music. She has over 40 billion streams between YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music.

For today’s video I’ll be looking at an earlier performance of her singing Whitney’s “I Have A Nothing”.

I hope you enjoy the video and let me know what you thought!

“It’s awesome. The private sections of the forum are worth the price of admission alone. I struggled with 2 different tertiary (university Level) level teachers (6 months each about 8 years ago) telling me my voice just wouldn’t be able to do what i wanted to be able to do and even if it could, the material i wanted to be able to sing would be too ‘Dangerous.’ Absolute rubbish. If you do the work thats laid out in this course, you are golden, I started in March Last year struggling to hit the E4 note in ‘Under the Bridge’ chorus now I can sing this stuff:
Honestly man, you are not going to find a bad review here. The course and this forum completely demystifies every single aspect of great singing. Just be prepared to do the work.”
