We all know the types. Most of them sound like a “Karen” complaining to a department store manager.
I think of Fran Drescher, who so famously made the sound obnoxiously adorable in the TV series “The Nanny” (as well as Spinal Tap and other movies and TV).
But truth be told, no one loves the sound of a whining child trying to get their way.
And while there are some mega iconic vocalists such as Barbra Streisand, Céline Dion, Stevie Wonder (and a handful of others) that have been able to temper that sound into success, most of us don’t wear it well.
So in this video, I discuss how to overcome nasality and how not to sound like someone’s cat being tortured.
